The band and I will be playing the legendary Bottom of the Hill with The Fancy Dan Band, and Roger Rocha's Golden Hearts. From the bottom of the hill website: Chosen by Rolling Stone magazine (RS 813) as "the best place to hear live music in San Francisco," the Bottom of the Hill presents some of the finest original artists, seven nights a week. Featuring up and coming acts from around the globe as well as in our own backyard, the music spans the spectrum from alternative, rock-a-billy, punk, and hard rock, to folk and funk and pop. The Bottom comes fully-equipped. It offers a full bar, a kitchen that stays open late and a patio area where guests can escape the crowd and have a smoke. Photos from The Hotel Utah, Sept 7th, 2007:

New Album: "Traveling Songs" In october, I released my 3rd studio album - Traveling Songs. For whatever reason, I've been writing a lot of songs about life on the road and moving and moving on with ones life and this a
lbum is a collection of my favorites of those songs.
With this record, I went in with a goal of having as minimal production as possible - I wanted the songs to stand on their own, and I think we succeeded at that. We recorded the album at Last Stop Records and brought in Manny Bernal on drums, Craig Koozer on bass, Scott y Rock and Roll on slide guitar, Frank Rathbone on telecaster, Matt Dundas on piano, and Sonya Cotton backing vocals. I am very excited about how the album turned out, and I just heard from my mom and she likes it too. If you'd like to check it out, it's available on from cd baby: cdbaby.com/cd/jjschultz3 and iTunes
